He was predeceased by: his parents, Milam D Lawson and Cecil K Lawson; his siblings, Volena Horne, Alvena Lawson, Ruth Johnson, Bonnie Alvis and Reid D Lawson; and his nephew Jerry Alvis.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Lawson; his daughters, Marilyn Templeton (Danny Roy) and Paula Lawson of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Amy Linkous (Robbie), Brian Templeton (Jessica), Heather Templeton and Scott Dickerson; his great grandchildren, Jacob Linkous (Kaitlyn), Gracie Linkous, Faith Linkous, Josie Templeton, Natalie Templeton, Leslie Bradley and Chelsea Bradley; and his brother Frank Lawson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Spires Chapel Church.
