It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Kate Potter Stanton of Rogersville, Tennessee, born in Mountain City, Tennessee, who passed away on April 10, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Enoch Franklin "Frank" Potter and Minnie Brewer Potter; her husband Robert J. Stanton; her siblings, Bonnie Ward (Robert), Verdie Stanton (Carl), Maude Ward (Leon), Don Potter (Pearl) and J. C. Potter; and her siblings-in-law, Edna Potter and James Andrews.
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Tom Stanton (Pat) and Tim Stanton (Kim) of Raleigh, NC; her siblings, Irene Andrews of Elizabethton and John B. Potter of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Tenecia, Beth, Katy, Audrey, Thomas Odom, Patrick (Katie), Philip (Jessica) and Nathan; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, Mia, Norah, Cooper, Colby and Noah; and her sister-in-law Rosie Potter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
