He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret "Susie" Davis Weems; his parents, Ivan Weems and Cecil Dyer Weems; and his brother Verlin Weems. He is survived by: his children, Doris McMillan (Howie) of Rogersville, Susan Trent (Brian) of Rogersville and Jeff Weems (Kathy) of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Tiffany Floyd (Thomas), Jessica Rollins (Michael), Elizabeth Jones (Eric), Trey McMillan (Abby), Brennan Trent and Jenna Trent; and his great grandchildren, Briley Rollins, Charlie Rollins, Landon Rollins, Erica Jones, Addison Jones, Macie McMillan, Jackson McMillan and Trey Floyd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
