We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2022, at the age of 105, Mollie Ruth Pope (Rogersville, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldridge Payne and Fannie Lou Payne; her husband Silas Thomas Pope Sr.; her son Silas Thomas Pope Jr.; and her siblings, Eldridge, Kathleen Hoyle, Jennie Mae Kincaid and Joanna Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Pope (Stephanie) and Angela Jackson (Terry); her daughter-in-law Barbara Gaines; her sister Ethel Rogers; her grandchildren, Ronnie Pope, Tonya Brice, Shannon Clack, Erin Pope, Sandy Jackson and Jamie Jackson; and her stepgranddaughters, Carole Williams and Angie Pope. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
