He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Starnes; and his grandparents, Orbin Rhoton (Cub), Ora Rhoton, Sherman Starnes and Bessie Starnes.

He is survived by: his mother Norene R. Starnes of Rogersville; his brother Steve Starnes (Glenda) of Rogersville; his nieces, Kassandra Starnes and Kaitlyn Starnes; his nephew Jimmy Starnes; and his aunt Iva Nell Copas (Larry) of Kingsport.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3711 Beech Creek Rd,, Rogersville, TN 37857.
