She was predeceased by: her parents, Brownlow Stapleton and Pearl Davis Stapleton; her husband Dee Cook; her siblings, Ruth Cody (Paul), Jim Stapleton (Carolyn) and Bob Stapleton; and the father of her children Earl Bailey.
She is survived by: her children, Reba Bailey and Melville Bailey (Diane); her brother Thomas Stapleton; her daughter Beth Holt; her granddaughter Amy Bailey McMillian (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Emilyn, Everett and Ian; and her sister-in-law Faye Stapleton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Broome Funeral Home Chapel (513 E Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the BIG Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (410 McMillian Rd, Rogersville, TN 37857).
