It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie J. Courtney of Rogersville, Tennessee, who passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Johnson and Julia Martin Johnson; and her siblings, Jim, Ance, Charles, Holland, Zed, Ellis, Ernest, Robert Johnson, Ella, Jane, Margaret Johnson and Nora Lawson.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Wayne Courtney (Barbara) of Greeneville and Glenn Courtney (Judy) of Rogersville; her grandchildren, Tammy Courtney and Glen Allen Courtney (Abby); her stepgrandchildren, Tim Shelton, David Shell, Scott Morrell and Christie Ferguson; and her great grandchildren, Matt Courtney, Blake Renfro, Trey Courtney and Abby Courtney. She is also survived by numerous great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery.
