She was predeceased by: her daughter Anita Southerland; her parents, Carl Hicks and Jane Hicks; and her siblings, Wayne Hicks, Delmar Hicks, Mable Starnes, Alma Rader, Barbara Cruey and Billy Hicks.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis Stanifer; her daughter Sherry; her son-in-law Don Farmer; her stepchildren, Chandra Christian and Dennis Stanifer Jr.; her grandson Dr. Brandon Farmer; her stepgranddaughters, Danielle Christian and Elizabeth Stanifer; and her siblings, Doc Hicks, Frances Smelcer, Phil Hicks (Juanita), Lois Ison, Odell Hicks (Dorothy), Erma Ball, Glenda Gilland (Junior) and Debbie Brown (Charlie). She is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
