He is survived by: his sons, Larry and Willie Carpenter; his granddaughter Madison Carpenter; his siblings, Elma Dalton, Lana Parsons, Troy and Keith Carpenter; and his close friend Debbie Hurley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
