She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin Ray Ellis; her parents, George Washington and Helen Rose Jones; her grandsons, David "Skeet" Ferrell Courtney and Colin James Ray Ellis; and her sisters, Barbara Sanders, Mary Marsee and Shirley Whisman.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Courtney, Linda Gibbs and Eugene "Jamie" Ellis (Kristina) of Rogersville; and her siblings, Betty Fannon (Charlie), Mabel Forbes (Tony) of Toledo, OH and Donald Washington Jones (Sandra) of Pennington Gap, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
