He is survived by: his wife Helen Maddox Kite; his children, Jeff Kite (Diane) and Katrina Banks (Aaron); his grandchildren, Daniel Banks (Brooke), Emily Barton (David), Benjamin Kite (Brea) and Lauren Smith (Justin); his stepgreat-grandchild Jase; and his close friends, Dolly, Molly, Rounder and Anna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.
