He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mason and Birdie Williams McBrayer; his brother Elmer Wesley McBrayer (Marie); and his nephew Larry Douglas McBrayer. He is survived by: his brothers, Bruce Turner, Andy Peavler, Gale (Minnie Carpenter) and R. C. (Cornie Talley); his wife Shirley Winkle McBrayer; his niece Donna Trent (David); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lori Armstrong (Brian), Jennifer Carpenter (Travis), Wesley McBrayer (Carmon) and Brandon McBrayer. He is also survived by seven great-great nieces and nephews, several cousins.
