He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Ruth Trent Boyd; his parents, Edward Neal and Clara Christine Wilson Boyd; his sister Joyce Collins; and his great grandchild Bentley Linkous.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Linkous (Raymond) of Surgoinsville, Lawrence Boyd of Rogersville and Steven "Buzz" Boyd of Rogersville; his granddaughters, Lisa Linkous and Melanie Morelock (Jordan); his great great grandchildren, Isaac, Adella and Noah Linkous; and his sister Ellen Boyd of Rogersville.
