She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Ray Netherland-Brown; her parents, Theodore Noel and Hattie Stover Thurman, Sr; and her siblings, Eileen Meadows, June Taylor and Theodore Thurman, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Lieutenant Colonel Louis Netherland (Jamie) of Fort Benning, GA; her grandchildren, Emily Netherland and Jack Netherland; and her sister Patricia Roskiewicz of Latham, NY. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
