He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Horne and Polly Falin Horne; his sisters, Ruby Alice Sorple, Eva Jane Horne, Ida Elizabeth Horton and Pollyanna Horne; his half-sisters, Virgie Ledbetter, Betty Davis and Gladys Marshall; and his brothers, George Connor Horne and Robert Falin Horne.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Miller Horne; his children, Dr. Eva Ann Horne of Manhattan, Michael Lynn Horne (Sherry L. Robbins) of Knoxville and George Robert "Bobby" Horne (Sarah Grace) of Rogersville; his grandchildren, Brandy Robbins-Horne, Wesley Allen Horne and Elana Grace Horne; and his sister Henrietta Horne of Johnson City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
