He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Dingus and Laura Kate Compton Dingus. He is survived by: his wife Ruby C. Dingus; his children, David Kirk Dingus (Valerie Sandidge), Jordan Sandidge of Church Hill and Evangeline Nylander (David) of Dallas, TX; his stepgrandson Randy Pleasant; and his siblings, Cheryl Smith of Traveler's Rest, SC and Ronnie Dingus of Kingsport.
