We bid farewell to Chloe Geraldine (Gerry) Long (Rogersville, Tennessee), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Chloe Geraldine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Guy Long; her parents, Tom Brooks and Mamie Hicks Brooks; and her siblings, Meta Absher, Mary Biggs, Clara Brooks, Zannie Hicks, Harold and James Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Linda McBride (Jimmy) of St. Clair, John Long (Vickie) of Rogersville and Steve Long (Melissa) of St. Clair; her grandchildren, Andrew Long (Shea) of Knoxville, Samuel Long (Haven) of Rutledge, Emily of St. Clair, Taylor Long of St. Clair, Caleb McBride of Nashville and Nathan McBride of St. Clair; and her great grandchild Sadie Long. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Broome Funeral Home Chapel (513 E Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Community Cemetery.
