He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Gilliam; his parents, Henry Gilliam and Edith Carpenter Gilliam; and his brothers, Odell and Danny Gilliam.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Cook (Bill) of Church Hill, Laurinda Shanks (Mickey) of Rogersville and Rob Gilliam of Rogersville; his stepchildren, Shaunna Mellons of Kingsport and Kirby Keaton of New York; his grandchildren, Chasity Burchfield, Brittany Bush, Alisha Bush, Dakota Bush, Breiydon Gilliam, Kaily Gilliam and Austin Gilliam; and his close friends, Wanda and Wendell Ward.
