He was predeceased by: his daughter Kelli Jeanette Lipe; his brother Sammy Lynn Lipe; his parents, Sam Henry and Mable Ruth Epps Lipe; and his grandparents, Charlie, Julie Lipe, Gale and Katherine Epps.

He is survived by: his son Christopher "Chris" Charles Lipe (Sammy); his sister-in-law Lois Lipe; and his niece Felicia Dobson (Jason).
