He was predeceased by: his parent Willie S. Allen (Elizabeth Allen); and his sister Elizabeth Ann Harrell. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Parvin, Joshua Christian and Corey Allen; his grandsons, Jonah M. Parvin and Ezra L. Parvin; his siblings, William E. Allen (Judy), Toni Thomas, Patti Allen, Melissa Allen and Marina Fraser (Ronald); and his pet Peanut. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
