She was predeceased by: her husband Tommy Horner; her son Michael Keith Horner; her siblings, Jeanette Gilliam and Alvin Carter Jr.; and her parents, Jane and Alvin Carter Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Gerald Horner and Nicole Horner (Scott Taylor); her grandchildren, Maddie, Michael, Mckinley Taylor and Ryleigh Goodman; and her siblings, Charlene Diamond and Sylvester Carter.
