She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar Eugene Mowdy; her parents, Alvin Fain and Della Price Fain; her siblings, Joyce Vance, Olsen, Deron, Carl and Gene Fain; and her sister-in-law Lillian Horton.
She is survived by: her children, Jamie Shifflett of Birmingham, AL., Terri Alvis (Dennis) of Rogersville, Renee Price (Brian) of Rogersville and Tony Mowdy (Becky) of Corryton, TN; her grandchildren, Daniel Alvis, Emily Elkins (Ben), Jeremy Mowdy (Misty), Sarah Hall (Rodney), Megan Barnard (Joey), Callie Church (Justin), Jordan Price (Meredith) and Kelsie Price; her sister Yvonne Russell of Rogersville; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Fain and Ruth Williams. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
