He is survived by: his daughter Amy Johnson of Rogersville; his stepchildren, Destiney Johnson of Sneedville, Haylee Johnson of Rogersville, McKenzie Johnson of Rogersville and Austin Johnson of Tazewell; his siblings, Jimmy, Larry, Johnny Mathis, Georgia Marion, Nancy Brewer, Gracie Mathis and Imogene Moricle; and his grandchildren, Shonda, Austin, Shawn, Keegan, Jackson, Violet, Brianna, Brook, Waylon, Tristan and Kristen.
