He is survived by: his wife Creda Smith; his siblings, Johnny Buttry, Ruby Foster, Little Herman Buttry, Stevie Buttry, Michael Buttry, Sarah Testerman, Timmy Buttry, Mary Buttry and Rebecca Buttry; and his stepdaughter Darinda Dean.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Price's Grove Missionary Baptist Church (438 Prices Grove Rd, Rogersville, TN 37857).
