With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ada Josephine Carpenter of Rogersville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Perry Carpenter; her son Quentin Perry Carpenter; her parents, Fannie Richardson and Dewey Richardson; and her siblings, Edna Baker, Irene Johnson, Burretta Skeen, Esther Freeman, Oma Head and Quentin Richardson.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Mahan (Lynn) and Marty Carpenter (Kathy); her daughter-in-law Beverly Carpenter; her grandchildren, Joshua Carpenter (Brendon), Daniel Carpenter, Shaelyn Cox (Matt), Nathan Carpenter (Beth), Jason Carpenter and Benjamin Mahan; and her great grandchild Ezra Carpenter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Christian Sells Funeral Home (1520 E Main St, Rogersville, TN 37857).
