He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Luther Pelfrey and Lizzie Agnes Pelfrey (Stinnett); his former wife Margaret Alice Pelfrey (Schubert); his wife Wanda Pelfrey (Hamby); his siblings, Charles Pelfrey and Kathleen Evitt; and his great grandchild Addilynn Grace Pelfrey.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Pelfrey (Sherri) of Crossville, Tim Pelfrey (Martha) of Crossville, Steve Pelfrey (Dawn) of Crossville and Misty Dodson (Tommy) of Crossville; and his siblings, Elmer Pelfrey of Grandview and Wanda Pelfrey of Dayton. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; and his 16 great-grandchildren.
