He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Simpson and Arther Powers. He is survived by: his wife Betty Powers; his pet Heidi; his granddaughters, Marlana Daniels (Joe) and Grace Melton of Rockwood; his children, Greg Melton (Tammy) of Oakdale and Annette Kindred; his siblings, Lawrence Powers (Linda) of Midlothian, Glen Powers (Sherry) of Oakdale and Nona Burgess (Darrell) of Oak Ridge; and his grandchildren, Casey Stooksbury (Brad), Zach Melton (Alexis), Shannon Johnson (Corey), Austin Melton and Creed Isham. He is also survived by great grand children, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
