He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Beacher Turnington and Ada Jones Turnington; and his wife Christine Turnington. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Turpin, Michele Wright, Marcus Turnington and Travis Turnington; his grandchildren, Shawn Turpin, Stephanie Turpin, Amanda Turpin, Tyler Wright and Kyle Turnington; and his great grandchildren, Seth, Aidan, Benjamin, Natalie, Nora, Joseph, Sophia and Victoria.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Evans Mortuary to help with funeral expenses.
