It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Tate of Rockwood, Tennessee, born in Fostoria, Ohio, who passed away on September 10, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Hood Sr. and Jerry Utley-Hood; her son Daniel Tate; and her brother Danny Hood. She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Perryman of Chattanooga, TN, Amanda, Robert Manning of Rockwood, TN, Jesse and Alyce Tate of Rockwood, TN.; her daughter-in-law Katie Tate of Rockwood, TN; and her siblings, Donna Jacobs of Findlay, OH, Ivan "Boots" Hood of Harriman, TN, Becky Bullard of Harriman, TN, Audie Hood of Karns, TN, Penny Swicegood of Rockwood, TN and Renee Lassiter of Harriman, TN. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Evans Mortuary to help with funeral expenses.
