Joan Titus DeGroff Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Titus DeGroff of Rockwood, Tennessee, born in Rochester, New York, who passed away on September 16, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Gordon Titus and Elizabeth Carson Titus; her husband James Howard DeGroff; and her grandson Kyle DeGroff. She is survived by: her siblings, Katharine Titus Couchot of Englewood and Thomas Carson Titus of Tecumseh, Michigan.; and her children, Dr. Ann Carter (Philip), James DeGroff (Donna), Michael DeGroff (Lynn), William DeGroff (Julie), Elizabeth Makeever (Harold), Peter DeGroff (Peggy) and Margaret Blackston. She is also survived by her seven children and their spouses, her fourteen grandchildren and their spouses, and her sixteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's name to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 535 Margrave Drive, Harriman, TN, 37748, and to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
