We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2020, Jimmie Hamby of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Leslie Clark Hamby; his parents, Gib Hamby and Sallie Hamby; and his brothers, William Anton Hamby, Kenneth Hamby (Bonnie) and Gilbert Winfrey "Wimp" Hamby.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hamby of Rockwood, TN.; his children, Gil Hamby (Jane) of Rockwood, TN, Melissa Ashby (Kyle) of Winchester, TN and Kim Smith (Scotty) of Rockwood, TN.; his grandchildren, Tessa, Michael, Jamie, Carter (June), Rachel, Jackson, Sydney, Maddie and Peyton; his sister Marjorie Ruth Burdette of Rockwood, TN; and his sister-in-law Polly Hamby of Rockwood, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family asks that those in attendance, please wear a mask or face covering.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church in Rockwood.
