He is survived by: his wife Ralphine May Hood; his son James Craig Hood (Susan) of Simpsonville, SC; his grandsons, Austin of Atlanta, GA and Jacob of Simpsonville, SC; and his siblings, Robert Hood (Emma) of Harriman, Catherine Stephens (Bill) of Crossville and Faye Long (Bill) of Chickamauga, GA..

“Dearest Mrs. Hood and family..was so saddened to hear that Preacher Hood had left this earth, but rejoice that he is now with ouir Heavenly Father. 54 years ago he married us at Bogansville. Craig was just a baby when you all had to move. We are surely thinking of you all now, and pray God will bless , comfort and hold you close in the coming days.
