He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ferguson; his parents, Frank Ferguson and Lennie Ferguson; and his siblings, Gene Ferguson, Daisy Chitwood and Carl Ferguson.

He is survived by: his children, Greg Ferguson (Vicky) of Midtown, TN, Dennis Ferguson (Carolyn) of Midtown, TN and Pam McKissack (David) of Midtown, TN.; his grandchildren, Andy McKissack (Morgan) of Columbus, GA, Tony McKissack (Becca) of Kingston, TN, Missy Thompson of Harriman, TN, Kenvia Sandifer (Damon) of Harriman, TN and Sonya Seiber (Joe) of Oak Ridge, TN.; his great grandchildren, Micah Cromwell, Madison Scarbrough, Landon Sandifer, Kinsley McKissack, Kiley McKissack, Andrew, Riley and Pierce; and his siblings, Ruby Ledbetter (Thomas) of Midtown, TN and Charles Ferguson (Grace) of Midtown, TN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
