He was predeceased by: his parents, Cal Griffin and Sally Griffin; and his siblings, Beulah Bishop, Nell Griffin, Mildred Lawson, Betty Dairs, Clyde Griffin, Frank "Pete" Griffin, Josh Griffin and Joe Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Griffin; his daughter Angela East (DeWayne); his grandchildren, Heather Abston, Michael Jones (Kayla) and Nick East (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Hannah Abston, Railey Jones, Layton Cox, Braylen Abston, Audrey East and Addie Jones; his sister Cora Lane; and his nephew Landon Watts. He is also survived by Several other nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Mortuary (805 N Gateway Ave, Rockwood, TN 37854). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 5th 2024 from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (699 E Strang St, Rockwood, TN 37854). A reception will be held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Mortuary (805 N Gateway Ave, Rockwood, TN 37854).
