He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Marion Godsey and Sylvia Lucille Godsey (Dannels); his wife Alice Bernice Godsey (Aytes); his son Troy Pete Godsey; his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Joseph (JoJo) and Asa Kemmer; and his siblings, Geroldine Conger, Christine Cox, Imogene Hoskins, Glenda Gunter, Brenda Godsey, Raymond Godsey, Tommy Godsey, Bobby Godsey and Joe Godsey.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Sharp, Tinker Pete Godsey (Rachel), Amy Godsey and Timothy Godsey (Amanda); his grandchildren, Cody, Preston, Brooklyn, Devlyn, Makalyn, Leelyn, Shay, Waylon, Jacob, Ieasha, Breanna, Logan, Daniel, Sadie, Riley, Jeremiah, Piper, Kyler, Burklee and Wrenlee; and his siblings, Diana Hale (Allen), Louise Cox, Patsy Barnes and Ricky Godsey. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
