It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer H Steelman of Rockwood, Tennessee, born in Crab Orchard, Tennessee, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Steelman and Laura Pugh Steelman; and his siblings, Chester Steelman, Christine Fowler, Anna Kilby and Janie Kilby.
He is survived by: his close friend Diane Smith; his children, Michelle Matthews (Thomas), Connie Long, Robert Steelman and Elmer H. Steelman Jr.; his grandchildren, Jamie Matthews (Jenny), Amanda Hill (Ryan) of Thomas, Ashely Hydell (Anthony), Allen Lay, Shelly Steelman, Austin Steelman (Chaye), Mattie Webster, Ellie Hill, Danny Thomas Matthews, Mason Lay, Greyson Treece, Raelyn Treece, Xaelee Howard, Tayan Davis, Deja Steelman, Kobe Davis and Jeremiah Steelman; his brothers, Sam Steelman (Teresa), James Steelman, Jerry Steelman (Shelia), Terry Steelman and Jason Steelman; and his close friend Cindy Strader.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Evans Mortuary (805 N Gateway Ave, Rockwood, TN 37854).
