He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Franklin and Minnie Bell McDaniel; his children, April Gail Taylor and Carl Joseph McDaniel Jr.; and his siblings, James McDaniel, Virginia Ruth Detrick and Betty Hurst.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Edna McDaniel; his son John McDaniel (Missy); his grandchildren, Johnathan, Peyton McDaniel, Bradley Taylor, Kristen and Brittany Taylor; his great grandchild Kamber McDaniel; and his siblings, John Wayne, Paul Ed McDaniel, Dela Mae Barnes, Barbara Ann Smith, Chihuahua and Mikey.
