She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stephens, Jr. and Rose Talley Stephens; her husband Richard Smith; and her siblings, Rev. Billy Hill and Lola Stephens.
She is survived by: her daughter Stephanie Shrum; her brother John Stephens, III; her grandchildren, Makayla Shrum and Austin Simmons; and her great grandchild Ryder Simmons.
