She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Franklin Blackwood and William Hugh Blackwood; her former spouse Red Preslar; her husband John Shelby Reed Jr.; and her children, John Shelby Reed III (Cindy) and Mary Grace Reed King (late Vance). She was also cherished by her children, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, along with a host of friends.
