He was predeceased by: his parents, Hershell Layhew and Addie Mae Pitts Layhew; and his brothers, J. W. and Melvin Layhew. He is survived by: his significant other Judy Taylor; his son Anthony Layhew (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Courtney Nelson (Austin) and Brittany Adams (Colt); his great grandchildren, Maverick Adams and Collyns Nelson; and his sisters, Gloria Burks and Edith Windrow (Gary). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
