He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Dee Smotherman and Annie Lee Wright Smotherman. He is survived by: his children, Darlene Shehane of Rockvale, TN, William Steagall (Reanetta) of New Market, AL and Jeffery Delon Smotherman of Lorton, VA; and his grandchildren, Jason Fulghum, Lindsey Christian and Patrick Shehane. He is also survived by 10 great- grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
