He was predeceased by: his parents, George Byrd and Viola Byrd; and his grandson Trent Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Betty Joanne Byrd; his children, Teresa (Chris Ingram), Carol (Taylor Scarbrough) and Joe Byrd; his daughter-in-law Kelly Byrd; and his grandchildren, Zack Scarbrough, Logan Ingram and Austin Byrd.
