We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2023, at the age of 90, Billy Elbert Townsend of Rockford, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Townsend and Hettie Marshall Townsend; his former wife Linda Douglas Townsend; his siblings, G. R. Townsend, Kathleen Latham and Stella Grace Townsend; and his stepson Andy Winkle.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Ogle Townsend (Winkle); his son Randy Townsend (Julia); his grandson Aaron; his son Wayne Townsend; his grandsons, Nicholas Townsend (Krista) and Matthew Townsend (Jennifer); his great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Eva, Landyn and Cadance; and his caregiver Chandra Garland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or your favorite charity.
