He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Owens and Emma Lou Priest Owens; his wife Violet Louise Davis Owens; his children, Clata Owens and Allen Owens; his stepchildren, Tony, Bobby, Edward Simmons and Kathy Bouldin; and his siblings, Bluford Owens, Charles Owens, Leona Raper and Emma Jean King.
He is survived by: his children, Bettye Bouldin Woods (Brian), Wanda Owens of Rock Island, TN, Gail Burns (Jeff) of Smyrna, TN, Sandy Hall of McMinnville, TN, Glenda Hughes (Allen) of McMinnville, TN and Bud Owens (Helen) of Morrison, TN; his stepchildren, Donnie Simmons of Rock Island, TN, Barbara Cantrell (Bo) of Franklin, TN, Linda McAdams (Mac) of North Carolina and Frances Nolan (Peter) of Washington, DC; and his close friend Earlene Ledbetter. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
