He was predeceased by: his mother Cora Omega Robinson Hayes; his wife Deborah Hayes; and his sister Mary Davis. He is survived by: his father Lester Hayes of Sparta; his children, Scott Alan Hayes (Amanda Sue) of Murfreesboro, Eric Richard Hayes of Murfreesboro and Jaime Michelle Whiteaker (Shayne) of McMinnville; his grandchildren, Alex Dalton Hayes (Kelsey) of Smithville, Alexis Lee Hayes of Murfreesboro, Allyson Paige Young (Lucas) of McMinnville, Austin Luke Hayes of Murfreesboro, Kensley Brooke Whiteaker of McMinnville and Alyssa Nicole Hayes of Murfreesboro; his aunt Jo Baker (Jess) of Smithville; and his uncle Brisco Robinson (Imogene) of Smithville.
