It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gearldean Madewell of Rock Island, Tennessee, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, EJ Roberts and Kathleen Davis Roberts; her siblings, Eugene, Cecil Roberts, Carolyn Roberts and Brenda Koontz; and her nephew Shaun Koontz.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Bond of Rock Island, Deanna Vaughn of McMinnville and Beverly Cannon (Dustin) of McMinnville; her grandchildren, Kinsley Bond, Payton Strang, Noah Bryson, Malachi Bryson, Lacey Cannon and Aaron Cannon; her stepbrother Floyd Neal of DeKalb County, TN; and her sisters, Janet Trapp (Daryl) of DeKalb County and Donna Robertson (Buddy) of DeKalb County. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 8:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the High Funeral Home (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110).
