He is survived by: his son Derek Bowling (Felicia); his grandson Simon of Robbins, Tennessee; his siblings, Wilma Shannon (James) of Muncie and Larry Bowling (Gyretha) of Chattsworth, Georgia; his brother-in-law Jimmy D. Byrd of Robbins; and his sister Madgie Overton (Johnny). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
