He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eli Young (Carla), Charles Young, Billy Joe Young, Drexel Ward (Don) and Sally Poe (Jerry).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jo Jeffers Young of Robbins; his children, Derek Young (Beth) of Soddy Daisy, Miranda Young of Cleveland and Holly Soderbom (Ian) of Cookeville; his granddaughter Chloe Young of Soddy Daisy; his brother David Young (Louise) of Robbins; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Burke (Darrel) of Oneida and Phyllis Taylor of Dayton, Ohio; his nieces and nephews, John, Joseph, Jason, Anthony Young, Veronica Huliba, Kym Strom, Jennifer Poe, Tonya and Amanda Young; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Peyton, Andrew and Jarrod. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
