He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Hughett and Charlene Hughett (Lewallen) of Robbins; his siblings, Clarice, Curtis, Paul Norman and Arthur Hughett; his brother-in-law Conley Freels; his niece Connie Freels Seabolt; his sister-in-law Phyllis Hughett; and his great-niece Jessica Hughett.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Griffith Hughett; his children, Bobby Joe Hughett (Maria), Sean Hughett (Sherry), Mike Hughett (Bridgett), Nick Hughett (Kim), Rhiane Hughett, Jorne Hughett (Monica), Barbara Hughett-Posey (Mark), Paula Hughett-Stevens (Joe), Khia Hughett-King (Charles) and Tandy Hughett-Miller (Rusty); his grandchildren, Michelle Long, Mellissa Hughett, Makalea Posey, Marcus Posey, Mico Posey, Stephanie Posey, Meadow Bella Posey, Jordan Hughett, Austyn Hughett, Chelsea Hughett, DeShawn Henderson, Daniel Hughett, Allen Hughett, Halee Hughett, Andrew Hughett, Havannah King, Maci King, Dillard King, Morgan King, Christian Miller, Teegun Miller, Royce Miller, Ashur Miller, Brya Hughett, Koda Hughett and Cole Hughett; his sister-in-law Frances Zachary (McKinley); his siblings, Jerry Hughett, Clorine Losey (Norm), Elizabeth Freels and Linda Warner (Mike); and his close friend Willard Clowers. He is also survived by great, nieces, grandchildren, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends.
Due to COVID-19, and in cooperation with the Governor's Executive Order # 22, we ask that attendees maintain appropriate social distancing, observe current health guidelines, and be considerate of all others in attendance.
In lieu of flowers all donations may be made to the Elgin Church of Christ.
