He was predeceased by: his parents, Vester Hitechew and Larnie Hitechew (Julian); and his sisters, Kay Hitechew and Beulah Garland. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hitechew; his children, Chris Hitechew (Karen), Jeff Hitechew (Jackie) and Ginger Myers (Andy); his grandchildren, Lucas, Curtis Hitechew, Logan Hitechew (Haley), Tyanna Hitechew, Taylor Myers and Macey Myers; his great grandchildren, Aspyn Hitechew, Rellim Hitechew and Hayden Hitechew; and his siblings, Charlie Hitechew, Jerry Hitechew, Melanie Munday and Frances Heaton. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain (8498 US-19E, Roan Mountain, TN 37687). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Vester Loman "V.L." Hitechew, age 81, of Roan Mountain, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 after a tough battle with Parkinson's Disease.
